Don't let the name fool you, there's no game being stocked on this working corn, soybean, and cattle farm. One hundred percent wild game and fair chase is how you will hunt free-ranging whitetail deer and turkey on over 3,000 acres of the Elmore Stock Farm Outfitters' property.
The property consists of rolling fields, ponds, lakes, timber, cliffs and creeks along the Spoon River area in Peoria, Stark, and Knox County, Illinois. Hosting a variety of trophy wildlife, this lightly-hunted property that hasn't been on the market since the early 1900's has abundant food, cover, water, and large continuous acreage that was recently purchased by local lifelong farmer Doug Milby. Doug knows what it takes to improve land to its maximum potential.
Guests will hunt from treestands and box blinds in areas where a Pope and Young or Boone and Crockett buck could emerge at anytime, making for an exciting hunt while taking in the beauty of the terrain.
Shotgun with slugs only and a 3-shot plug, muzzleloader or bow is the way to legally hunt this paradise, centrally located in one of the top whitetail deer states in the country.
There's also a cabin located next to two ponds that makes a great place to eat lunch!
This Illinois monster was taken by our neighbors, close to Elmore Stock Farm Outfitters during the 2011 shotgun season.
Walnut Creek, flowing out of the Spoon river, runs through Elmore Stock Farm and is a hot zone for whitetails and indian artifacts.
